God calls each of us to love fellow believers (Gal 6:10). This love is not meant to be lip service but Bible studies where we train ourselves to become more and more like Christ (Proverbs 27:17). Our focus is therefore to study specific Bible books and the leaders are specially trained by the minister every few weeks.

Can I go to several groups?
Yes. As the groups grow, everyone must decide where they feel at home. No one will think badly of you for rotating between groups in order to decide where you feel most at home.

Will someone ask me to pray or read?
No. No one will look at you strangely if you don't say anything and this is usually a good place to hear how others deal with the same struggles that you might have.

What happens during a Bible study?
Every group does this a bit differently but the basis remains the same. We read a portion of the Bible, study this and then discuss it. The Bible study is led by someone who has been trained to do so.

After we've read the passage the leader provides an introduction to the Bible book and reminds us what we learned last week. Then we start with the questions. The first few relate to the text that has just been read and help us to understand what is in the passage. The answers are usually straightforward. The second set of questions is designed to help us apply what we've learned to our lives.

Then we pray. The Bible study is usually finished around 9 - 9:30 pm.

Most groups decide themselves which evening of the week and at what time they'll meet. Some of them also decide to take it in turns to make dinner for everyone..
